Material Handler

Job: Material Handler (Warehouse/Food Production)

Pay: DOE - $1.00/hr Shift Differential for any hours worked between 10pm-6:30am

Shifts:

Swing Shift, 2pm-10:30pm Monday - Friday

Overtime may be required.

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Material Handler will be responsible stacking and placement of raw materials and finished goods, after the initial receipt of the materials to the warehouse. This person is a highly organized individual who is knowledgeable about the company’s products and materials, and how the materials should be stored, rotated, and order selected to the specifications of the end user. The material handler will be responsible for preparing raw materials for sampling, preparing raw materials for hold storage on stow racks, rotating hold stock, pulling accepted products for orders, by using hand and operating the pallet jack, reach truck and forklift.

 

EDUCATION/SKILL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

A. High School diploma or GED preferred, in lieu of degree 5 years consecutive manufacturing experience required.

B. 1 to 3 years of current warehouse material handling experience in a manufacturing environment, desirable

C. Required ability to read and write basic English, basic shop math skills, and basic computer skills.

D. Current certification for a reach truck, forklift

E. Understand cGMP’s and understanding of Quality Control desirable
